# ARL Protocol (ARL)

> ARL is the utility token for decentralized AI and compute services, an ERC-20 on Base. It is
> live on Base Mainnet since 24 October 2026 at 0xde91E6f39D50bBd875f831dcc1134A3D7f3aaDb4, source-verified on
> Basescan. Nothing on arlcoin.io is an offer, investment advice or a promise of price or listing.

Key facts:

- Maximum supply: 21,000,000 ARL, minted once at deployment into 11 allocations. The token
  contract has no owner, no mint function after deployment, no pause and no upgrade path.
- Standard: ERC-20 with EIP-2612 permit, 18 decimals, on Base (Ethereum layer 2).
- Testnet: Base Sepolia (chain 84532), token 0x244312b619127B6458154F3467eFD7c87CD28500,
  source-verified on Basescan, Blockscout and Sourcify.
- Mainnet: Base (chain 8453), token 0xde91E6f39D50bBd875f831dcc1134A3D7f3aaDb4, deployed 24 October 2026
  (block 53,023,206) and source-verified on Basescan. Any other address presented as ARL is not
  official.
- How a payment works: the wallet signs a spending ceiling (x402 upto scheme, Permit2), the AI
  or compute service meters the work, a facilitator settles only the ARL used, never above the
  ceiling, and the transfer is recorded on Base where anyone can verify it; ratings are kept on
  the ERC-8004 registry.
- Planned uses: AI services paid per use in ARL, GPU and CPU compute paid per second,
  zero-knowledge anonymous signals, and staking funded from existing allocations, never from
  new issuance.
- Security: multi-layer internal security audit completed on 17 October 2026 with open-source
  tools (Slither, Aderyn, Foundry fuzz and invariant tests, Halmos, Mythril) and manual triage; no
  critical finding, every finding closed (fixed or accepted with a documented mitigation).
  Treasury actions pass a Safe
  multisig and a 48-hour timelock.
- Roadmap: foundation and token contracts complete, internal security audit complete, Base
  Sepolia testnet live since 4 October 2026, Base Mainnet live since 24 October 2026.
- Trading: Uniswap v3 on Base, pools ARL/USDC, ARL/USDT, ARL/WETH and ARL/cbBTC (1% fee),
  opened from 0.20 USD per ARL with 5,000,000 ARL (2,000,000 Liquidity, 3,000,000 Public Launch).
  There is no airdrop at the launch; an airdrop of 500,000 ARL is planned for a later date.
- ARL never asks for a private key, a seed phrase or a payment.
